Speech and Debate

Speech is one of the first things people base their impressions on about others. Students equipped with speaking skills from debate are better at conveying ideas and delivering substantiated claims. Ivy Inspiration’s Speech and Debate class is designed to build confidence, poise, and self esteem for students of all ages. Our classes offer students the opportunity to practice and refine the skills of communication while developing the self-confidence needed to speak in front of an audience. Students will learn the art of persuasive speaking, argumentation, speech writing and presentation skills through these classes. Special emphasis will be placed on use of language, logic, voice, gesture, and organizational skills.

Math Olympiad

The Math Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools was created by Dr. George Lenchner in 1977 in hopes to provide an incentive for students to intensify their study of math. The purpose of the contest is:

  1. To stimulate enthusiasm and love for Mathematics
  2. To introduce important Mathematical concepts
  3. To teach major strategies for problem solving
  4. To develop Mathematical flexibility in solving problems
  5. To strengthen Mathematical intuition
  6. To foster Mathematical creativity and ingenuity
  7. To provide for the satisfaction, joy, and thrill of meeting challenges

At Ivy Inspiration, our expert instructors teach students how to tackle difficult problems without losing interest in math. This is a great course for students who want more challenge and a deeper understanding in various mathematical concepts. There are two divisions for the MOEMS:

     – Division E (Grades 4-6)

     – Division M (Grades 6-8)
